Nico McGiffin is a transsexual dyke, and multidisciplinary artist. They are currently based in “Vancouver, BC” on the unceded traditional territories of the xwməθkwəy̓ əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱ wú7mesh (Squamish), and səlilwətaɬ (Tsleil- Waututh) Nations. McGiffin holds a BFA in Sculpture + Expanded Practices from Emily Carr University of Art + Design and has exhibited across Vancouver, BC in galleries such as Massy Arts, Trapp Projects, The James Black Gallery, and Well Well Projects in Portland, OR. Nico has been awarded grants from the Canada Council for the Arts and recently attended an artist residency at the Banff Centre.
